Coronavirus (or Covid-19)
Now that restrictions are being relaxed, are you working face to face again?
I haven't yet taken a decision to resume face to face working. Until I do, I'll continue to work exclusively online.
When will you resume face to face work?
Before I resume working face to face I want to be reasonably certain of two things:
- I can work safely and ethically, face to face, without a face covering
- restrictions aren't likely to be re-imposed suddenly in the near future.
Why won't you work with face coverings?
Being able to communicate effectively is an essential part of the way that I practise. I don't believe that I'll be able to work effectively if half of our faces are covered. Which means I'd probably be wasting your time.
Why do you want to wait until new restrictions look unlikely?
I want to avoid starting, and then having to suddenly stop working together if I can. That's not good for anyone. I realise I can't predict what's going to happen next but giving new arrangements a little time to bed in seems like a sensible idea.
When are you going to review this?
If everything goes well I'm going to review the situation in the second week of August 2021.
Are you still working online?
Yes! I will continue to offer online as an option after I return to face to face work. And if you don't feel you can wait until August there is nothing to stop us starting to work online and then moving to face to face when I make that option available again.
